Arielle

Boland

Who am I?

My name is Arielle Boland and I am preservice elementary teacher studying at Meredith College. I graduated in May 2017 with a B.A. in History, minor in public history. This fall, I have completed my student teaching in a 5th grade class and am receiving my K-6 Licensure. I have aspired to be an educator for a long time, and my experiences at Meredith have equipped me to enter the work force as a strong educator in the 21st century. My passion is to inspire children to learn how to use the information taught to move them forward in their daily lives today, and in the future! I strive to incorporate interdisciplinary instruction in the classroom, including, but not limited to, the arts and technology.

Department of Education

Meredith’s education programs ensure that all of our teachers will be knowledgeable, thoughtful and prepared to meet the needs of all students. Meredith students do not major in education, rather they complete a liberal arts major in the field of their choice and at the same time take courses in the teacher education program. Completion of the teacher education program, taken in addition to the major, leads to a North Carolina teaching license.

Teaching Fellows Program

Meredith College offers the Teaching Fellows program, a dynamic educational experience enriched with opportunities to gain hands-on classroom experience, learn from education professionals, volunteer for community projects and study abroad. Teaching Fellows participate in a superior academic program that blends the liberal arts, a major in the chosen academic field, and professional courses leading to teacher licensure.
